One way I would use Edmodo is to store long term expository writing projects. It would be a safe place for the work to be kept as the students went through the process, from research to finished product. They can also add multimedia conponents to their project.I can then assemble the student work to create either a class exhibition hall or museum.
I intend to use Socrative to create a variety of customized assessments. I also will use it more informally at intervals to assess mastery for particular concepts. Another usage will be to gather class data pertaining to various content or student related issues.
I would use Edmodo to allow students to communicate with each other about assignments and ideas, share links and documents in a safe place that I can monitor. I would like to be able to use Edmodo to periodically post assignments and polls for students to complete and turn in on the site or hand in mannually. This would be a great opportunity to teach students how to properly use a site like this and manage it. Great way for students and teachers to communicate and interact.
Socrative would be useful in the classroom because it is a quick student response system that can assess student knowledge during a lesson or after. I can gather data from students and use the spaceship game as an interactive and visual display of the data I am collecting. I like that it gives students the feedback immediately and will be a motivational and fun way to see results!
